“When you combine it with other natural detox tools like dry brushing, castor oil packs, and detox baths, you unlock a whole new level of healing.”
– Mama Naturally
If you’ve been following my wellness journey, you know I’m obsessed with supporting my lymphatic system. And if you’re new here — welcome! You’re about to learn one of my all-time favorite healing ritualsthat has helped me manage autoimmune flares, reduce inflammation, and feel lighter and more energized every single day.
Using a lymphatic drainage machine is a game-changer on its own. But when you combine it with other natural detox tools like dry brushing, castor oil packs, and detox baths, you unlock a whole new level of healing. It’s like giving your body a roadmap and a gentle nudge to reset, release, and rejuvenate.
Today, I’m diving deep into how to layer these beautiful rituals together — and why this combo is something every mama, wellness warrior, or healing soul needs in their toolkit.
🌿 Why Pair These Practices?

The body is designed to detox — but our modern world (with environmental toxins, stress, processed food, and inflammation) often blocks or overwhelms these systems. The lymphatic system, in particular, has no built-in pump. It relies on movement, breath, and intentional care to keep flowing.
That’s where this layered approach comes in. Each practice works on a different level of the body’s detoxification system:
- Dry brushing stimulates surface lymph and opens the skin’s detox pathways.
- Lymphatic drainage machines support deep lymph movement and reduce fluid retention.
- Castor oil packs help clear the liver and digestive system — key detox organs.
- Detox baths draw out toxins and promote relaxation and mineral replenishment.
Together? They help your body move, release, and glow.

🧴 1. Start With Dry Brushing: Wake Up Your Lymph Flow
What It Is:
Dry brushing is the simple act of brushing your skin in gentle strokes with a natural bristle brush. It’s not just for exfoliation — it actually stimulates your lymphatic system, especially the superficial lymph under the skin. And it only takes a couple minutes so it’s super easy to add into your morning routine— it’s as easy as brushing your teeth!
How to Do It:
- Always brush toward your heart.
- Start at the feet, then work your way up the legs, arms, and back.
- Use small, upward strokes or circular motions.
- Brush for 3–5 minutes before your lymphatic drainage session or shower.
Benefits:
- Increases circulation
- Stimulates lymph flow
- Supports detoxification
- Smooths and softens skin
- Feels energizing and invigorating
Tip: I keep my dry brush by the shower as a reminder to use it daily. Pairing it before your lymphatic drainage machine session primes your lymph channels, helping the machine work more effectively.
💨 2. Lymphatic Drainage Machine: The Heart of Your Ritual

What It Is:
Lymphatic drainage machines (like my beloved Pinty Y-NOT 2000W) use gentle air compression or vibration to stimulate your lymph system and help move stagnant fluid through your body.
When to Use It:
- After dry brushing
- Before or after workouts
- As part of your evening wind-down
- Daily or 3–5 times a week for best results
Benefits:
- Reduces swelling and inflammation
- Flushes out toxins and metabolic waste
- Boosts immune function
- Relieves fatigue and brain fog
- Enhances skin glow and energy
Pro Tip: I like to change positions and stretch, while using the machine, sip on lemon water or a detox tea, and make it a calming, intentional time. Sometimes I even do squats or a little arm light weight workout routine to really activate my muscles and get my blood flowing!

🌿 3. Castor Oil Packs: Detox the Liver & Deep Organs
What It Is:
Castor oil packs involve placing a cloth soaked in castor oil over your abdomen (typically over the liver), covered with heat for 30–60 minutes. This ancient remedy helps stimulate lymph flow, reduce inflammation, and support the liver— your main detox organ. You can even apply packs to different areas & sleep with them overnight.
How to Use:
- Apply organic, cold-pressed castor oil to a cotton flannel or unbleached cloth. I always recommend choosing clean, high-quality options to avoid adding more toxins while you detox — you can check out my favorite castor oil brands here.
- Place over your liver (right side of your belly).
- Cover with plastic wrap or an old towel, then apply a heating pad or hot water bottle.
- Relax for 30–60 minutes.
- Repeat 3–5x per week, especially after using your lymph machine.
Benefits:
- Supports liver detoxification
- Improves lymphatic drainage
- Calms digestion and bloating
- Balances hormones
- Deeply relaxes the nervous system
Combine With: Do a castor oil pack after your lymphatic drainage machine for a deeper detox experience. Your system is already moving — now support your organs in clearing out the waste.
🛁 4. Detox Baths: The Final Flush

What It Is:
What It Is: Detox baths are one of the simplest and most soothing ways to pull toxins out through the skin, support the lymphatic system, and deeply calm the nervous system. Using ingredients like Epsom salts, baking soda, bentonite clay, and essential oils, these baths not only promote detox — they help replenish vital minerals and reset your entire energy.
Basic Detox Bath Recipe:
- 2 cups Epsom salts
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup bentonite clay (optional – mix with water first to avoid clumping)
- 5–10 drops essential oils (lavender, lemon, frankincense, or eucalyptus are great)
- Soak for 20–30 minutes in warm (not hot) water
- 💡 Want to switch it up? I have a whole list of my favorite bath blends — from immune-boosting to hormone-supporting soaks.
Benefits:
- Pulls toxins from tissues
- Replenishes magnesium and minerals
- Reduces stress and inflammation
- Improves sleep and mood
- Completes the detox cycle
Timing Tip: Detox baths are a perfect end-cap to this ritual. Do one after dry brushing, lymph drainage, and castor oil packs to seal in your work and help your body flush it all out.
✨ Putting It All Together: The Perfect Weekly Ritual
Here’s how to create a full lymphatic detox ritual you can do 3–5 times a week:
🌿 Detox Flow Schedule:
- Dry Brushing – 3–5 minutes to stimulate lymph flow
- Lymphatic Drainage Machine – 20–30 minutes to move deeper fluid and toxins
- Castor Oil Pack – 30–60 minutes to detox organs and soothe the body
- Detox Bath – 20–30 minutes to eliminate and replenish
You don’t have to do all four every day, but layering them together 2–3 times a week creates massive momentum in your healing, cleansing, and clarity.
💚 Why This Matters?
We live in a world full of environmental toxins, chronic stress, and overstimulation. But your body? It’s built to heal. You just need to support it with the right tools and rhythm.
This ritual is about more than detox — it’s about coming home to your body. It’s about feeling light again. It’s about waking up with clarity, glowing skin, and energy you didn’t think was possible.
I’ve used these practices to help manage my autoimmune symptoms, support my liver, balance hormones, and reclaim my vitality — and I believe every woman deserves to feel that power, too.
